ATTOP W8 1080p GPS FPV Circle Follow Camera Drone Flight Test Review

This large GPS drone includes a 1080p HDD camera with remote controlled tilting gimbal. Coming soon to all vendors. Pros – GPS/GLONASS automatically …

  1. So this is what Syma did with all the Syma X8 Pro carcasses they can't sell because it's SO.bad! At least they Attop seem to have put a better GPS unit in it. But 'follow me' and 'circle me' modes are pointless without a 3-axis gimbal or EIS. When will manufacturers realise this?

  2. Unlike some folks I quite like the "How do you like my shirt, folks?" footage. When I compare the current girth to that in your first few forays on Youtube it makes me quite complacent about my own expansion over the years. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. Not a great lover of Attop drones Q101 as I've seen so many videos of 'fly-aways' and malfunctions but this seems fine enough. I like the performance and camera quality but that proprietary battery, 5G wifi and annoying beeping make it a 'no-no' for me. Another great video though mate … Cheers ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. I'm not keen on the compass calibration. It's not nearly as much fun as watching you do the traditional dance. ๐Ÿ˜€
Seriously though it has some very good points and a few bad ones but overall it's not too bad.

  5. I think you hit most of the highlights and lowlights of this one, especially in your Pros/Cons. Brushed motors in this day & age is the equivalent of using 'stone knives & bear skins'. The camera isn't too bad, but jello ruins the video. The FPV freezes up from time to time. For $100, which is approx. the selling price on this model .. which doesn't seem to be released yet, I think the Bugs 2 is the better buy & better quad, with better video. (the 2C is cheaper, but the 2W seems to have a better camera). With all the better competition out there, I don't see this as being a big seller for Attop. I'm glad the "4 wheel gang" are keeping to themselves and giving you some space to fly. Cheers.

  6. To be honest, itโ€™s not that much different to the Symaโ€™s , S70W or the Byangtoys GPS offerings, all with brushed motors. Why not opt for the JJRC X5 ( mjx clone) or any of the MJX gps models around the same price point and the luxury of brushless, certainly an up grade from these toy grade quads. Better still , what about the new Xiaomo Fimi A3 , now that looks a bargain.

  7. That looks like a fine "little" drone! ๐Ÿ™‚
The Global Drone X183 X6 Follower is also a fine mid-sized drone, but the short flight battery life pisses me off (all of my flights have had sub-six minute flight times — usually closer to five minutes) though I must say that it does indeed fly well for those brief flights. ๐Ÿ™‚
